Scott’s Delivery Diary: Real Motorcycle Deliveries Across the UK
Motorcycle Delivery UK was founded by Scott, whose passion for motorcycles inspired him to build a specialist transport service dedicated solely to moving bikes safely across the UK. Today, every collection and delivery is completed using a purpose-built, unmarked motorcycle transport van designed to carry everything from vintage classics and modern superbikes to touring motorcycles and off-road machines.
Welcome to the first edition of Scott’s Motorcycle Delivery Diary, a behind-the-scenes look at some of the genuine motorcycle deliveries we’ve completed recently. Every photograph featured in this diary is from a real collection or delivery, not a stock image or staged photoshoot.
Every motorcycle has its own story. Some are brand-new dealer purchases, others are cherished classics finding a new owner, while many are being moved for restoration, servicing, storage or simply because riding hundreds of miles isn’t always practical. If you’re wondering whether we transport motorcycles like yours, there’s a good chance you’ll spot one in the diary below.

Delivery Highlight 01
Vintage & Classic Motorcycles
Classic motorcycles are often among the most interesting bikes Scott is asked to collect and deliver. They may be decades old, recently restored, bought by a new owner or moved between collectors, workshops and storage.
The motorcycle shown here is a genuine delivery completed by Motorcycle Delivery UK. We do not know the full history of every bike featured in the diary, so we will not invent one. What the photograph does show is the kind of older motorcycle that benefits from careful loading rather than a long ride home or a makeshift trailer journey.
Are classic motorcycles harder to transport?
They can require more thought than a modern everyday bike. Older motorcycles may have delicate paintwork, unusual controls, narrow tyres, original components or securing points that are not suitable for heavy pressure. Some may also be non-running or difficult to start after standing for a long period.
A specialist transport service allows the bike to be loaded carefully, positioned securely and moved inside an enclosed vehicle. This is particularly useful when the motorcycle has been bought from a private seller, collected from an auction or needs to travel a considerable distance without adding mileage.
Worth knowing
Before collection, mention whether the motorcycle is running, whether the brakes work and if there are any fragile or loose parts. Providing these details in advance helps ensure the safest loading method can be planned before transport.

“I would highly recommend and trust this company to pick up and deliver your motorcycle, their service was very quick from start to finish with excellent communication along the way, and the price was very hard to beat, my pick up and collection wasn’t straight forward but Scott and Andy made it happen, huge thanks guys”
Delivery Highlight 02
Brand-New Dealer Collections
Not every motorcycle is collected from a private home. We also collects bikes directly from dealerships, helping customers take delivery without needing to arrange a van, trailer or long journey themselves.
Dealer collections are particularly useful when someone has bought a motorcycle from outside their local area. The customer can complete the purchase with the dealer, provide the collection details and arrange for the bike to be transported directly to their home or another agreed address.
Customer question
Can a motorcycle be collected directly from a dealer?
Yes. We can coordinate the collection with the dealership, confirm when the motorcycle will be ready and arrange a suitable delivery time with the customer. This can make buying from a dealer elsewhere in the UK much simpler.
What information is needed for a dealer collection?
The most helpful details are the dealership name and address, the motorcycle being collected, the dealer’s contact information and confirmation that the bike has been paid for and released.
It is also worth checking whether any keys, paperwork, spare parts or accessories need to travel with the motorcycle. Letting us know about these before collection reduces the chance of something being left behind.
Customer question
Do I need to be at the dealership?
Usually not. Provided the dealer has permission to release the motorcycle and we have the correct collection details, the bike can normally be collected without the customer travelling there.

Delivery Highlight 03
Superbikes, Sports Bikes & Performance Machines
High-performance motorcycles are designed to be ridden, but there are plenty of occasions when transporting one is the safer and more practical choice.
The photographs in this section show two genuine Motorcycle Delivery UK jobs: an Aprilia sports bike in photo 009 and a BMW performance road bike in photo 004. Both represent the kind of valuable, powerful motorcycle that owners may prefer to have professionally collected rather than ridden home immediately.
Why transport a sports bike instead of riding it home?
A newly purchased sports bike may be unfamiliar to its new owner, located hundreds of miles away or waiting for insurance, tax or final preparation. Transporting it removes the pressure of making a long first journey on a motorcycle the rider has not yet had time to get used to.
Professional delivery also avoids adding unnecessary mileage to a low-mileage or collectable motorcycle. This can be particularly important with specialist models, limited editions and bikes purchased primarily for weekend use, track days or collections.
Do sports bikes need different handling during transport?
The basic principles remain the same: careful loading, stable positioning and secure restraint inside the vehicle. However, performance motorcycles often have low fairings, compact handlebars and painted bodywork that require extra care when choosing loading angles and securing points.
Before collection, mention if the motorcycle has very low ground clearance, aftermarket fairings, unusual handlebars or any loose accessories. This helps ensure the safest loading method is used and reduces the risk of contact with delicate components.
Photo shows another genuine delivery involving a BMW performance motorcycle.
Customer question
Can a motorcycle be collected before I have insured it?
In many cases, yes. The motorcycle is being transported rather than ridden on the road. The seller or dealer must still be ready to release it, and the customer should make sure the purchase and collection arrangements are complete.

Delivery Highlight 04
Touring, Cruisers & Everyday Road Bikes
From heavyweight touring motorcycles to relaxed cruisers and practical road bikes, we transports motorcycles built for very different kinds of journeys.
This section features three genuine deliveries: a Harley-Davidson in photo 001, a Honda Gold Wing in photo 005 and a Royal Enfield in photo 010.
Are large touring motorcycles harder to transport?
Touring motorcycles such as the Honda Gold Wing are larger and heavier than most everyday bikes. Their weight, wide bodywork, panniers and low-mounted parts all need to be considered before loading begins.
The motorcycle must be positioned carefully inside the vehicle, with enough room around the fairings, mirrors and luggage. We also needs to know whether panniers, top boxes or other accessories are fitted before collection.
Before collection
Before collection, mention if your motorcycle is especially heavy, unusually wide or fitted with removable luggage. Providing these details in advance helps ensure there is enough loading space and that the motorcycle can be loaded and secured safely.
Why transport a cruiser instead of riding it?
Cruisers are often bought from private sellers, specialist dealers or owners located many miles away. A professional collection avoids turning the purchase into a long first ride on an unfamiliar motorcycle.
Transport can also be useful when the bike is being moved for servicing, storage, sale or relocation. It allows the motorcycle to travel without additional mileage or exposure to poor weather.
The photo above shows a Royal Enfield, another genuine Motorcycle Delivery UK collection.
Customer question
Can panniers and accessories stay on the motorcycle?
Before collection, mention any panniers, top boxes, crash bars or other large accessories when booking your motorcycle transport. Providing these details in advance helps ensure the motorcycle can be loaded and secured safely.
Delivery Highlight 05
Off-Road, Motocross & Enduro Motorcycles
From lightweight enduro bikes to competition motocross machines, off-road motorcycles often travel by van long before they reach the trails or the track.
This section features genuine Motorcycle Delivery UK collections, including a Beta enduro motorcycle and other off-road bikes collected from dealers and private owners across the UK.
Why transport an off-road motorcycle?
Many off-road motorcycles aren’t road registered, insured or fitted with everything needed for public roads. Transport is often the easiest way to move them between home, dealers, workshops, race events and riding locations.
Even road-legal enduro bikes are frequently transported to avoid long motorway journeys before a day’s riding begins.
Customer question
Does an off-road motorcycle need to be clean before collection?
It does not need to be spotless, but removing excessive mud helps make loading easier and keeps the transport area cleaner. Any loose riding gear, spare wheels, stands or accessories should also be packed securely before collection.
Worth knowing
Off-road motorcycles often travel with spare wheels, stands, fuel cans or riding equipment. Mention these when booking so enough space can be allowed during transport.
Whether it’s heading to a motocross event, returning from a workshop or travelling to a new owner, professional motorcycle transport keeps the focus on riding rather than the journey to get there.
Delivery Highlight 06
Behind Every Safe Delivery
Every motorcycle is different, but the approach to transporting it safely is always the same: careful preparation, secure loading and attention to detail.
This photograph offers a look inside our purpose-built motorcycle transport van. It has been designed specifically for transporting motorcycles safely, with dedicated loading equipment, multiple securing points and a layout that allows bikes to be positioned and strapped correctly for the journey ahead.
Built around safe motorcycle transport
Unlike a standard delivery van, our vehicle has been set up specifically for motorcycle transport. Wheel chocks, tie-down points and protective padding help keep each motorcycle stable throughout the journey, whether it’s travelling a few miles or across the UK.
Every bike is loaded individually and secured using professional equipment designed to keep it upright and minimise movement during transport.
Why enclosed motorcycle transport?
An enclosed van protects motorcycles from the weather, road debris and unnecessary exposure during transit. It also provides greater security than transporting a motorcycle on an open trailer, particularly during longer journeys.
Whether we’re collecting a brand-new motorcycle from a dealer or delivering a cherished classic to its new owner, every bike receives the same level of care from collection through to delivery.
Customer question
How is my motorcycle secured during transport?
Every motorcycle is positioned carefully inside the van and secured using professional straps and dedicated fixing points. The aim is to keep the motorcycle stable throughout the journey while protecting painted surfaces and delicate components.

Happy Customers, Safe Deliveries
Every motorcycle has its own story, but the best part of every journey is seeing it safely delivered to its new owner.
Whether it’s a first motorcycle, a long-awaited upgrade or a cherished classic, every delivery ends the same way: with another bike safely where it belongs. This photograph captures one of those genuine handovers following a successful Motorcycle Delivery UK delivery.
More than simply moving motorcycles
For many customers, buying a motorcycle means travelling hundreds of miles or arranging collection from a seller they have never met. Professional motorcycle transport removes much of that stress, allowing the bike to arrive safely without the buyer needing to organise a van, trailer or long journey.
Every successful delivery is another reminder that careful planning and secure transport make the experience easier for everyone involved.
Every delivery tells a story
Throughout this diary you’ve seen just a small selection of the motorcycles we’ve transported across the UK. From vintage classics and dealer collections to superbikes, touring motorcycles and off-road machines, no two deliveries are ever quite the same.
That’s exactly why we’ll continue adding new editions of Scott’s Motorcycle Delivery Diary, sharing more real motorcycles, more genuine deliveries and more behind-the-scenes moments from life on the road.
