Terms & Conditions
1. Making a Booking, Cancellations & Failed Collections
Once a booking form has been completed on our website and a confirmation email has been sent, the customer agrees that the submitted form and our confirmation email together form a service agreement.
Cancellations will only be accepted by telephone. If a booking is cancelled, 20% of the agreed charge stated in the service agreement will remain payable by the customer.
Each service agreement includes a collection and delivery time frame. Motorcycle Delivery UK will always endeavour to complete collections and deliveries within the stated time frame; however, there may be occasions where this is not possible due to circumstances beyond our control.
If we exceed the agreed time frame for collection or delivery, no cancellation charge will apply should the customer wish to cancel.
We will contact the collection point the day before collection to provide a two-hour time slot. We will also contact the delivery point the day before delivery to provide a two-hour time slot.
While we will do our best to accommodate requested times, Motorcycle Delivery UK’s scheduled time slots are final. If the collection or delivery location cannot accommodate the time slot provided, we cannot guarantee to remain within the agreed time frame. By making a booking, the customer acknowledges the need for flexibility at both collection and delivery points.
If a cancellation is made after the collection has been arranged with the sender, 100% of the collection and delivery charge will be payable.
If we attempt a collection that has been arranged and agreed but are unable to safely carry out the collection for any reason, 100% of the total collection and delivery charge will be payable.
2. Delivery Estimated Times of Arrival (ETAs)
All collection and delivery time slots are estimated times of arrival.
On the day of delivery, customers agree to either:
-
Be available to receive the motorcycle, or
-
Provide an alternative delivery address within 5 miles of the original delivery address.
If no one is available and no alternative delivery address can be provided, the motorcycle may need to be returned to our base. In this case, an additional delivery charge will apply.
Further details can be found on our Frequently Asked Questions page.
3. Waiting Time at Collection or Delivery Points
Our drivers will wait up to 15 minutes free of charge at any collection or delivery point.
After 15 minutes, drivers may wait an additional 30 minutes, during which an extra charge of £20 will be applied.
After a total of 45 minutes, the motorcycle will be returned to our base and a full additional delivery charge will apply.
4. Motorbike Keys, Logbooks & Service History
Motorcycle Delivery UK is not responsible for collecting or delivering keys, logbooks or service history.
Customers are requested to ensure that any keys or paperwork are either:
-
Posted separately, or
-
Securely attached to the motorcycle being transported.
We accept no responsibility for lost keys, paperwork or service history that has not been securely attached to the motorcycle.
5. Spare Parts, Panniers & Accessories
We do not charge extra for detachable panniers or a small number of motorcycle parts if agreed in advance by email.
Because no additional charge is applied, all panniers and parts must be securely boxed or wrapped. We will not accept claims for damage to panniers or parts that are not securely packaged.
All parts travelling with the motorcycle must be declared on the booking form at the time of booking.
Motorcycle Delivery UK accepts no responsibility for any parts or panniers that are not declared. Undeclared items will be left at the collection point, and it will be the customer’s responsibility to arrange alternative shipping at their own cost. The full motorcycle transport charge will still be payable.
Boxes must:
-
Measure no more than 2ft x 2ft x 2ft per motorcycle
-
Weigh no more than 15kg
-
Be clearly labelled with delivery details
Additional charges may apply for items outside these limits.
Please refer to our Collection & Deliveries page for further information.
6. Making a Claim for Damage
Any damage that a customer believes has occurred during transit must be reported to the delivery driver at the time of delivery.
Once the driver has left the delivery address, no claims for damage will be accepted.
All drivers are fully insured to transport motorcycles, as detailed on our About Us page.
7. Payment for Services
Payment is required in cash on delivery to the driver, unless otherwise agreed prior to booking.
Customers who request to pay using an alternative payment method upon delivery agree to pay a 10% handling charge.
8. Tolls & Congestion Charges
Motorway tolls, bridge tolls and city congestion charges are not included in the delivery charge and will be charged separately.
All such charges must be paid in full by the customer upon delivery, in addition to the transport charge.
