Before your motorcycle goes into storage:

• Check the general condition of the bike and make a note of any existing marks, damage or known issues.
• Make sure the motorcycle is reasonably clean before longer storage, particularly if it has recently been ridden in poor weather.
• Check the tyres and make sure there are no obvious issues that could affect moving or transporting the bike.
• Think about the battery if the motorcycle will be stored for an extended period.
• Consider the fuel situation and follow the guidance appropriate for your particular motorcycle and expected storage period.
• Remove loose personal items and make sure anything that needs to travel with the motorcycle has been agreed beforehand.
• Provide any important information about alarms, immobilisers, starting procedures or unusual controls before collection.
